I have a new blog!!! And more exciting news!

Hello everyone!  I just got a new blog going on blogspot.  I will post to both blogs for a couple weeks until everyone has my new blog address down, but if you'd like to, please head on over to Kelly Stamps and become a follower! :)  It's a work in progress, but it will quickly get going with all the work i'll be putting up soon :)
Which brings me to my next exciting news!  I was notified today that I was choosen to be on the Queen Kat Designs Royal Court!  Yeah!  SUCH adorable stamps and I can't wait!  I'll be working on some new monthly card classes as well as playing with some awesome new releases to come soon!  Very exciting!
So, I'll be posting for QKD at least once a week as well as posts for Pez-A-Doodle every Wed & Fri, starting
APRIL 1ST!!!  THIS WEDNESDAY!  I'll also be posting info on a great SALE at Queen Kat tomarrow(Tuesday) so please check back than! PTI March Blog Hop!

Tonight is the March PTI Blog Hop.  It's always so fun to see all the different creations coming out of the same challenge.  This month the challenge was to make your own background paper using a background building set or just images you make into your own background pattern.  First, I'm going to show my completed card and than show you a step-by-step of how my background was created.
Here's the finished card:




Now here are the steps of my background:






Here is the finished background.  You'll noticed I only did the black accents on half the paper so I could use the other half for another project without black.  I used the tiny solid tulip from the Wishing You set as an accent in the circles in black to match the theme of my card.

Studio G Challenge 4

The challenge up right now on Paper Craft Planet for the Studio G Collectors group is to make an Easter themed ATC (Artist Trading Card).  These are great for trading or using on cards or as gift tags.  I did 2 today both using Studio G stamps, of course!


I'm gonna play around more later and hopefully i'll have a few more to share!

Exciting Announcement!!!

I just found out I was selected as one of the new members of the Pez-A-Doodle Design Team which is being announced today!  Yay!  In my position besides other fun stuff to play with, I will also focus on Tim Holtz tecniques.  Love Tim Holtz!  I've been lucky enough to meet him several times at events we were both working and i've also gotten to take 2 classes from him and he's amazing!  So check out the Pez-A-Doodle site: Pez-A-Doodle and look forward to some crafty goodness coming soon!

I also wanted to thank everyone again for their warm wishes about my husband.  To anyone who doesn't know, his left cornea was severly burned last week in a work accident.  His spirits are definately up a little now and he'll be able to return to work Monday, so he's excited about that.  He can't stand being stuck at home.  They still don't know how much of his sight he'll get back in his left eye and he may need surgery in the next year, but he's healing and the pain is getting less severe, so every day is helping!  Thanks again, love you all!

Congrats to all the other new Pez-A-Doodle design team members!  Make sure to go high-five them all! :)

Happy Bday Shelby!

It's my one and only beautiful daughter's 7th bday today!  Happy birthday Shel!  Here she is yesterday with her very own "super-wennie" Sweetpea!  She made Sweetpea a cape out of some wrapping from a present from Gma & Gpa!  She's such a goof and I love it!  Today we are going to the Mall of America, just her and me to do "girly things" without the boys!  I can't wait, LOVE YOU SHELBY!

New Family Member!

My husband has wanted to get a hunting dog for quite a while now.  He's a big hunter and is really excited to train a dog to pheasant hunt with.  We've had my dog Sweetpea (mini doxie) for 8 years now and he finally got his dog!  Meet Daisy, the newest member of our family.  She's now 11 weeks old, we got her home last Thursday and she's already causing trouble, but she's so dang cute! :)  Just wanted to share some pics!
